Yesterday we visited the Musee des Arts Decoratifs at the Louvre.  There is a super exhibit on undergarments starting around 1660 through the present.  The commentary is excellent and Peg took photos of many of them as we went, until we found out that photos were not permitted.  There was an area where you could try on garments, I think only for women.  Several were doing just that while we watched.  I learned how women sat down wearing those huge hoops.  They sat on stools and the dress just fit over the whole stool.  Piece of cake!

This is a link to my latest rendition of my mother.  She was in her 80’s at the time and was living with Norman.  My father died a few years before, as did Norman’s wife.   They had a grand time together, dancing several times a week and volunteering for Meals on Wheels.   Pencil.

Hola!

This is probably my best month art wise.  I think the pieces I did this month are on the whole my best to date.  I have sold some of my work and arranged for another exhibition.  A friend of mine who is a collector said some of my pieces could do quite well in the galleries there.  And a very dear friend of mine, also a very good artist and who has taught me a lot, requested one of my pieces!  I am very proud!
