This drawing began its life as an Italian actress, first as a painting and then appearance modified here as charcoal drawing. This yields a high contrast that leaps from your wall. The foreshortening is extreme. Highlights in the hair pop off the paper.

I happened to catch one of my granddaughters on the sofa during the recent visit. Pen and ink
My pen and ink of Poznan Cathedral. My travel notebook is 14 x 22, 5.5 x 8.5″

I did these pen and ink drawings at the Berklee School of Music student concerts at Sala Russafa, Nov 11-13, 2017, except for the one at the bottom, which was at the year-end performance of the Valencia campus of the Berklee School of Music in pen and ink.
Currently there’s an excellent exhibit of Picasso drawings at Banc Caja in Valencia. I did this painting afterwards.
This is based on my original sketch done at the Palau de la Musica in Valencia, in one of the smaller concert halls. That’s me with the black hat.
