I did these pen and ink drawings at the Berklee School of Music student concerts at Sala Russafa, Nov 11-13, 2017, except for the one at the bottom, which was at the year-end performance of the Valencia campus of the Berklee School of Music in pen and ink.

I did these pen and ink drawings in the audience at Palau de la Musica in Valencia, Spain. The originals are done on very small paper in pen and ink. I use both hands, one for the ink pen and the other a brush with a water reservoir. I call it automatic drawing since I can not see what I am doing, between looking at the subject and the darkness of the hall. I can not work from photographs as photos are not permitted. The music is Arco de Noe by Oscar Navarro, a Valencian composer. He was in the audience the day we heard this piece.
This is based on my original sketch done at the Palau de la Musica in Valencia, in one of the smaller concert halls. That’s me with the black hat.
